Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno has compared Newcastle footballer Andy Carroll to Black Sabbath.
The guitarist said the striker was one of the few Premier League players who had rock star status.
"These boys can claim the money but they can't claim the attitude just yet,” he told The Sun. “Footballers have definitely got rock stars' money now, but I couldn't name you one that's got any claim on spirit.
"Andy Carroll has the hair and he definitely likes a drink. He kind of looks a bit Black Sabbath."
Pizzorno’s comment come ahead of the release of the new British film London Boulevard, which he has composed the score for.
The guitarist said he was approached about the movie shortly after the band completed their recent tour.
London Boulevard stars Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell, and is due out on November 26.
