Taylor Swift’s new album ‘Speak Now’ has topped the US Billboard album chart, selling more than a million copies in seven days.
The singer’s follow-up to 2008’s ‘Fearless’ is only the sixteenth album to sell more than a million copies in a week.
In a post n Twitter, Swift Said she was overwhelmed by the public’s response to her new album.
“I...Can't...Believe...This...,” she wrote. “You guys have absolutely lit up my world. Thank you.”
Lil’ Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter III’ was the last album to achieve more than a million first-week sales in 2008.
But NSYNC's ‘No Strings Attached’ boasts the biggest-ever first week sales, with 2,416,000 in 2000.
