Damon Albarn is finishing work on a collaborative album with Red Hot Chili Pepper bassist Flea.
The previously outlined record also features Tony Allen, who worked with Albarn on past side-project, The Good, The Bad & The Queen.
The Blur and Gorillaz star told Spin that the album was 75% complete and would be “centred” around Allen.
"But this time it's him and me and Flea from the Chili Peppers and some of my favourite African musicians will be involved also,” Albarn added.
“Flea of course is an anagram for Fela and Flea is so into this music - so that's been great."
Albarn also confirmed that he was working on another album with Gorillaz and hoped to record a follow-up to The Good, The Bad and The Queen’s debut.
