Sir Elton John has claimed that the title song from Lady Gaga's new album 'Born This Way' is “the new gay anthem”.
The singer, who is close friends with the US star, said the song would replace 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor.
“This is the new 'I Will Survive.' That was the gay anthem. This is the new gay anthem,” he told MTV News.
“Actually, it's not a gay anthem — it can apply to anybody."
Meanwhile, Sir Elton revealed that he would like to work with Lady Gaga, describing her as the “bastard daughter” of himself.
“There's a chance I might do one track with her, but she's so busy and I'm so busy, we can never get together,” he added.
Sir Elton's comment come in the same week that Lady Gaga was named one of the most powerful women in the world by Forbes magazine.
