A spate of online petitions have been set-up in a bid to once again prevent The X Factor from dominating the Christmas singles chart.
Last year, Rage Against The Machine topped the countdown ahead of winner Joe McElderry following a Facebook campaign.
Several new campaigns have already started on the social-networking website for this year's chart, including one which aims to get John Cage's '4,33' to number one.
The song, originally written in 1952, is four minutes and 33 seconds of silence.
Other campaigns include one to make 'Hey Scenesters' by The Cribs number one, while another has backed Britain's Got Talent star Hollie Steal.
