Quincy Jones has praised Amy Winehouse's talent, describing it as “from another planet”.
The singer has recorded her own version of Lesley Gore's 1963 hit 'It's My Party' for Jones' forthcoming covers album, 'Q: Soul Bossa Nostra'.
The veteran producer told Rolling Stone that he was a big fan of the singer and that her cover “sounds like Amy”.
“What can I say, man? Nobody sounds like her,” Jones said. “She's been going through a lot of stuff, but she came on through, man.”
He added: “She has a great voice. She’s from another planet.”
Winehouse recorded her cover alongside producer Mark Ronson, who has cast doubt over whether he will work with the singer again.
'Q: Soul Bossa Nostra', released on November 8, will also feature  Akon, Jamie Foxx, LL Cool J, Usher, Jennifer Hudson and T-Pain.
