Hurts frontman Theo Hutchcraft has revealed that the band asked Kylie Minogue to collaborate with them via email.
The Australian singer appears on the song 'Devotion', which features on the Manchester duo's debut album 'Happiness'.
In an interview with Gigwise, Hutchcraft said the band approached Minogue shortly before they completed the record.
And he admitted that they wouldn't have known what to do if she had turned them down.
“We did think of getting someone like Kylie. 'Should we get someone like Kylie?' and then we thought well maybe we should just get her,” Hutchcraft said.
“So I don’t know what we would’ve done really. I mean it was right at the end of making the record. I wouldn’t like to think about it.
He added: “All we did, we wrote her an e-mail asking 'Do you want to do it?' and it was amazing that she got back to us which we’d never expect. It was a great little thing.”
'Happiness' was released on Monday (September 6). Check out Gigwise full Hurts interview now.
