Britney Spears Films Glee Cameo

Britney Spears has filmed her cameo appearance in the hit US TV show Glee.

The singer is due to appear in the second series of the programme, which is based on a fictional high school Glee Club.

“About to do my first shot of the day for Glee tweeties! Here we goooo!" Spears wrote on Twitter, before posting a picture of herself.

She later added: "What's up GLEEKS? Having so much fun on set!! Can't wait for you guys to see the episode!"

Spears is the latest artist to be recognised by the show. Other episodes have featured the music of Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Sir Paul McCartney, George Michael and Coldplay are all understood to have agreed to take part in the second series.
