Rihanna has admitted she was drawn to working with Eminem on 'Love The Way You Lie' because of the song's lyrics.
The track, which is the rapper's next single, features lines about domestic violence.
Rihanna, who was assaulted by former boyfriend Chris Brown in 2009, said she liked the way the song shed light on the problem.
“It’s something that, you know, we’ve both experienced, you know, on different sides, different ends of the table,” she told Access Hollywood.
“He pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence and it’s something that people don’t have a lot of insight on.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Rihanna and Eminem shot the video for 'Love The Way You Lie' in Los Angeles last week.
It is due to premiere this week.
