The Libertines are set to play a warm-up gig ahead of their appearance at the Reading and Leeds festivals next month.
The band will play at least one show at Forum in London on a date which has yet to be confirmed.
Singer and guitarist Carl Barat said the group hadn't rehearsed since they announced their reunion in March.
"We've got a bit of time blocked out," he told BBC Newsbeat.
"As I say it's a bit last minute - it always is. Of course we'll be able to do it and we'll be able to do it with aplomb."
The Libertines staged a three-night residency at the Forum in December 2003.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the band will join headliners Arcade Fire, Guns N' Roses and Blink-182 at Reading and Leeds next month.
