Radiohead's drummer Phil Selway has said that the band's next studio album is “not finished yet”.
In June, guitarist Ed O'Brien said the band were hoping to finish recording the follow-up to 2007's 'In Rainbows' “in a matter of weeks”
But Selway, who is preparing to release a solo record, said they were still some way off completing the album.
“It’s not finished yet,” he told EW. “It’s still ongoing. We like where we are so far.”
Selway said the band's recent studio sessions had been “very productive, very creative”, but that they were now taking a summer break.
Asked whether it would be released this year, he replied: “Oh, I don’t know. We keep on hitting those points where you think, ‘We’re there.’ And then [later] you think, ‘No, it’s not.’”
Selway is scheduled to release his debut solo album 'Familial' on August 30.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the drummer is also set to play a host of UK and Ireland solo dates this autumn.
