John Mayer has been forced to cancel his appearance at this weekend's T In The Park festival in Scotland.

The US singer has pulled out “due to unforeseen circumstances”, organisers told Gigwise.

The festival, which takes place from July 9-11, is due to be headlined by Muse, Kasabian and Eminem.

Other acts on the bill include Jay-Z, 30 Seconds To Mars, Babyshambles, D12 and Florence & The Machine.
