Argentina striker Lionel Messi has vowed to defeat Germany for Oasis when the two teams meet in the World Cup quarter-finals.
Germany ended England's hopes of bringing home the trophy from South Africa with their 4-1 victory last weekend.
Speaking to The Sun, Messi, who has become a fan of Oasis during the tournament, said he wanted to avenge Germany for the sake of the Gallagher brothers.
"If they love England as much as they do Manchester City, you can tell them from me I will do everything I can to defeat the team who knocked their beloved England out of the Cup,” he said.
He also said he hoped he could join Liam and Noel at a Manchester City game next season.
Germany take on Argentina on Saturday (July 3), with the winner securing a place in next week's semi-finals.
