Kasabian Talk About Having Children And New Jackson 5 Influenced Songs

Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno has revealed that he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together.

The guitarist, whose baby is due later this summer, said he was ready for fatherhood.

"I'm going to be 30 in December. I'm ready to not be the number one person any more,” he told Q magazine.

"It's healthy not to make your life all about you. I'll always want to make music. But I want kids to focus on too."

Pizzorno also spoke about recent sessions for the follow-up to the band's 2009 album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.

He said one song, entitled 'La Fee Verte (The Green Fairy)', was about the lethal drink absinthe and another was called 'Gypsy', which “sounds like later Jackson 5”.

It is not yet clear when the band plan to release the record.
