T In The Park organisers have banned festival-goers from taking vuvuzelas to this year's festival.
The instrument, which originates from South Africa, has divided opinion amongst fans at the current football World Cup in the country.
DF Concerts said people would be banned from taking the horn on-site, fearing that they may upset artists.
Vendors will also be prohibited from selling them at the Scottish festival.
A statement said: "As T in the Park is a music festival and whilst there is always a fantastic party atmosphere we have also got to respect the artists and the thousands of fans who want to hear their music without being disturbed by noises such as vuvuzelas in the crowd."
T in the Park takes place from July 9-11 and is due to be headlined by Muse, Kasabian and Eminem.
