The Strokes’ frontman Julian Casablancas has denied reports the band are set to play a secret set at Glastonbury tomorrow (June 27).
The singer is billed to perform solo ahead of headliners Ash on The John Peel Stage.
But many had speculated that the star might be joined by his Strokes bandmates after their recent comeback gigs.
However, responding to the claims on Twitter, Casablancas said: “Have been asked a lot but no, there's no secret Strokes set.
“Tho (sic) crazy psyched to play Glastonbury solo tomorrow…there might be some old catalogue stuff as well anyhow."
He added: “Also look forward to seeing white socks w/ black sandals. Always out of fashion.
On Friday (June 25), Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played a surprise set on the Park Stage, which Gigwise had revealed earlier in the day.
Glastonbury is due to conclude tomorrow with a headline set from Stevie Wonder.
Gigwise is coming live from the festival all weekend, so keep checking www.gigwise.com for the latest news, photos and interviews.
