Lady Gaga has revealed that she wants to model herself on Michael Jackson.
The US singer told Rolling Stone that she admired the way Jackson had revived his career after he was burned onstage in 1984.
The late star was filming a TV commercial for Pepsi when a pyrotechnics stunt went wrong, setting light to his hair.
“If I were to ever, God forbid, get hurt onstage and my fans were screaming outside of the hospital, waiting for me to come out, I'd come out as Gaga," she said.
"Michael got burned, and he lifted that glittered glove so damn high so his fans could see him, because he was in the art of show business.
“That's what we do. I don't even drink water onstage in front of anybody, because I want them to focus on the fantasy of the music."
Lady Gaga appears on the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone. The singer is currently on a break from her Monster Ball world tour.
