Lady Gaga has criticised US TV network Fox after her performance on American Idol was edited before it was broadcast.
The singer pre-recorded a ballad version of ‘Bad Romance’ and new single ‘Alejandro’ for the programme.
But viewers only saw her rendition of ‘Alejandro’ when the show aired on Wednesday (May 5).
In a message on Twitter, Lady Gaga hit out at Fox and claimed the network had misrepresented her.
“FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited + cut my performance/musical arrangement on idol. Watch real version,” she wrote.
The singer also posted a link to the full, unedited version of the performance.
On Thursday, reports in the US claimed the network had cut the singer's appearance due to time constraints.
