Kings of Leon have begun work on their new album, drummer Nathan Followill has confirmed.
The band are understood to be recording the follow-up to 2008's 'Only By the Night' in Nashville.
Followill has been tracking the their progress in the studio via Twitter since Monday.
In his first post, he described day one as a “musical success”, adding: “I'm very happy 2 get back 2 work and the mini bar.”
And in in his latest update, the drummer said: “Yesterday we put down some jams that I think you all will like.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Kings of Leon are set to stage a one-off headline concert in London's Hyde Park this summer.
The gig, on June 30, will feature support from The Black Keys, The Drums, The Whigs and The Features.
