Michael Jackson's father is planning to launch a wrongful death lawsuit against the late singer's former doctor, Conrad Murray.
Joe Jackson claims Dr Murray gave Jackson the prescription drug Propofol every night for six weeks – a “reckless” quantity amountable to second-degree murder.
The drug, a short-acting, intravenously administered hypnotic agent, was one of the drugs blamed for Jackson's sudden death last June.
"That is Russian roulette, that is loading six bullets into a gun with only six chambers,” Joe Jackson's lawyer Brian Oxman told Reuters.
The lawsuit will form part of a civil case, which is intended to seek monetary damages from Dr Murray.
Dr Murray pleaded not guilty in February to a charge of involuntary manslaughter over the singer’s death.
He is due to appear in court again in Los Angeles on April 5.
