Lady Gaga has promised another 30 years of writing music and videos - a career that would see the singer rival Madonna.
The star - real name Stefani Germanotta - made on the comments on Twitter yesterday as she was celebrating her 24th birthday.
She wrote: “I'm 24 today, so u know what that means? Let's raise a glass to 30 more years of writing music and videos for my beautiful little monsters.”
Later on Gaga posted a link to a Youtube clip of fans wishing her happy birthday and added: “I've never cried so hard in 24 years, from pure joy and unconditional love. Tears still streaming.”
“I don't know what I did to deserve the gift of you and all my fans. But God made you little monsters very special. U are my heart.” she added.
Last week, one of Gaga's producers Rodney Jerkins compared the star to Michael Jackson and said he believed she would achieve great things over the decades to come.
"I've always wanted to leave my stamp on music.” Jerkins said. “And to be able to say that I worked with Michael Jackson and now I'm working with Lady Gaga, who'll probably go down in history as one of the best female entertainers of all time."
