Download Festival will be announcing seven new bands, including the two remaining headline acts, this coming Monday (February 15).
Festival booker Andy Copping believes the announcement will “blow your socks off” in a tantalising series of Twitter messages.
He wrote: “Get ready for the next Download announcement on Monday night of next week...it'll blow your socks off!”
Before adding: “There will be seven bands announced on Monday. Two of which are going to be the other two headliners...hold on to your pants!”
AC/DC are the only confirmed headline act so far, while Deftones, Them Crooked Vultures, Stone Temple Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Megadeth, Wolfmother and Volbeat also on the bill.
With Rage Against The Machine playing their free London Finsbury Park gig on June 6th, speculation is rife about whether they'll play Download the following weekend.
Download Festival takes place from June 11th to the 13th 2010 at Donington Park in Leicestershire.
