Lady Gaga opened her New York Radio City Music Hall residency last night and dedicated a song to the people of Haiti.
The singer is donating all door and merchandise proceeds from her final show at the venue on Sunday (January 24) to the Haiti earthquake appeal, but took time last night to pay homage to the impoverished nation.
Midway through her power-ballad 'Speechless', Gaga - real name Stefani Germanotta – stopped the music and said: "There's a lot of people in the world right now who need our help.
“Sing this so God can hear us. Sing this for the people of Haiti!”
The opening sold-out show attracted an array of VIPs including billionaire Donald Trump and Sting.
