MTV is in trouble with Ofcom after they aired a swear word by Lady Gaga at the Isle of MTV music festival last year before the watershed.
The broadcasting watchdog – full name Office of Communications – received just one complaint when Gaga's expletive was aired at 4pm on November 2, 2009, however, this was enough to land MTV in the brown stuff.
Ofcom found that MTV were in breach of the broadcasting code which states that offensive language cannot be aired before 9pm.
Citing a mix-up at their Italian offices, MTV have “unreservedly apologised” to Ofcom for the mistake.
