Weezer singer Rivers Cuomo was injured when the band's tour bus crashed in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 6).
The incident happened on the New York State Freeway when the band were travelling between gigs in Toronto and Boston.
The bus' driver claims that the vehicle slid on black ice resulting in the bus hitting some posts before landing in a ditch.
39-year-old Cuomo was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, New York where he was treated for suspected cracked ribs.
As a result of the crash, the band have cancelled the remaining December dates of their Raditude tour.
