Pearl Jam look certain to be headlining next year's Hard Rock Calling.

A press release sent to press today features a postcard from Seattle with the following message: “Watch out for an exciting Hard Rock Calling announcement on Monday 7th December.”



By the process of elimination we reckon it must be Pearl Jam heading the Hyde Park event in June.

We can't quite see Sunny Day Real Estate, Band of Horses,  Sunn O))) or Fleet Foxes stepping up to the headlining helm.

Surely Alice In Chains aren't quite big enough on these shores too?

Pearl Jam released their ninth studio album 'Backspacer' on September 20th.

  • I don't think it could be soundgarden, unless it's a one-night event. Matt cameron will be touring with his band, that's Pearl Jam, in Europe next summer (so rumors say)
