Gigwise would like to notify users of eBay that a seller is using our name to sell tickets.
The seller, using various profile names – including 'time_4_tea_again' and 'the_stuff_u_need' - claims he is in our employment and acquires concert tickets through us.
We currently don't have anyone writing for us called Matt Thompson, nor would we supply this person with any concert tickets including Michael Buble and Bon Jovi next summer.
We would advise users of eBay that if anyone demands upfront payment for gig tickets (whether called Matt Thompson or not) and claims they acquired them through Gigwise then DO NOT buy them.
We have notified eBay's fraud team of this activity.

- I have seen this seller trading on ebay under many different user names, saying they need the money urgently. They say they will only accept bank transfers for immediate payment. I have reported them to ebay on many occasions going under different names but using similar ads. I dont understand why it takes joe public to make the reports and not ebay fraud team themselves. DONT BUY FROM ANY SELLER ASKING FOR QUICK PAYMENT!!!

was shocked to read about this article. I was the successful winner of two Bon Jovi Tickets from the_stuff_you_need. As I only live twenty mins from them I popped round last Saturday and did a cash deal. I have the printed confirmation of the tickets. I have just phoned the box office and they have confirmed everything is in order with these tickets.
Whatever his motives for saying he has "contacts at gigwise etc"...a scammer? Not in my case!
This is Matt Thompson here. I am no scammer. I simply couldn't accept PayPal because I couldn't wait the 21 days and have been a victim of PayPal "chargebacks" numerous times on eBay. I had great seats, which I have now sold and ANYONE who is unhappy is entitled to a FULL REFUND at any time. All eBayers (especially with tickets) create a "reason for sale". Yeah but you don't write for Gigwise and you're claiming that you do. As we're fielding calls in the office for your sales offensive I think it's fair to say that you're a lying scammer. Nice try.
i have agreed a price with Matt for 2 tickets for buble. I await receipt. I have no reason to believe the allegations here - although they did worry me when i saw the first this morning - and can only hope they are false. i will update this when i have tickets.
