Bon Jovi fans have expressed their outrage over the 'ludicrous' ticket prices for their O2 Arena residency next June.

While general admission prices start at a reasonably palatable £45, platinum tickets in the pit cost a whopping £1,299.97.

The New York band, whose latest album 'The Circle' ironically tackles the recession, play 14 nights at the venue kicking off on June 7.

An angry fan wrote on their official website wrote: "The prices of the tickets are ludicrous. You really let us down this time, guys."

Another wrote: "Writing an album about the world problems with recession, then doing what they've done could lose a lot of respect. The prices are just a mockery."

Despite the lofty prices, tickets for the shows were selling at a rate of 18 per second over the weekend.
