Guitar Hero 5 was released in North America yesterday following unprecedented anticipation.
As previously reported, dead music legends Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and notably Kurt Cobain have all been modelled through motion capture as avatars for the game.
However, Cobain's postumous appearance has been criticised by some.
One writer on The Inquisitor wrote after seeing the game yesterday: “I can’t see him endorsing the franchise were he alive. Alas, it turns out I hadn’t seen the worst of the Nirvana frontman’s creepy presence in the game … until now.”
You can see images of Kurt Cobain on Guitar Hero 5 below.
The game gets its European release on September 11 and will hit the shelves in Australia on September 16.
