The life of The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein is to be turned into a movie.
The film, based on a script by Tony Gittelson entitled A Life in the Day, will be produced by David Permut.
The producer told Variety the film would explore the formation of the band and Epstein's quest to sign them.
"Everybody turned down the band, even though Brian promised they would become bigger than Elvis, and he finally got George Martin at EMI to change his mind and give them an audition," Permut said.
Epstein managed the Beatles from 1961 until his death in 1967 at the age of 32.
