Michael Jackson 'Left Father Out Of His Will'
Michael Jackson did not include his father, Joseph, in his final will, according to reports.
The will, drafted in 2002, stipulates that Jackson's estate be divided between his mother Katherine, his three children and various charities.
The document is said to be in the possession of the singer's lawyer, John Branca, who, according to the Wall Street Journal, plans to submit it to Los Angeles Supreme Court.
Branca was Jackson's main lawyer between 1980 and 2006, when he was let go. He was rehired a week before the star's death last Thursday.
If verified, the will could further complicate discussions over Jackson's estate, which is thought to be worth $1billion.
In court documents filed yesterday, Jackson's family said they believed that their son died without a valid will.
According to the Associated Press news agency, Katherine Jackson also sought to take control of her son's estate.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Jackson's mother has been given temporary guardianship of the singer’s three children yesterday.
