Two fluorescent coloured vinyl records, which appeared in the opening credits to Top of the Pops, are to go up for auction in London.
Both records, which feature the TV show's logo, were used in the title sequence from 1981-1986.
The vinyl discs were filmed as they were thrown into dry ice. The footage was then reversed so it appeared as if the records were flying from the clouds.
Marc Ortmans, who put together the original sequence, told the BBC that he hd “no idea” how much they would fetch.
The discs are thought to be two of only a small number that survived the shoot in one piece.
They will go under the hammer at Chiswick Auctions sale tomorrow (March 3rd).
