Paris Hilton: Amy Winehouse 'Too Wild To Be My Best Friend'

Paris Hilton has ruled out making Amy Winehouse her “best British friend” because she doesn't think she could handle the singer's lifestyle.

The socialite is currently searching for a new best friend as part of a TV show for ITV2.

Speaking at the launch yesterday (January 27th), Hilton said she wanted to find a friend with “a fun personality” - but also “someone I could trust”.

When asked if Winehouse could be a contender, Hilton told the Press Association: "I love her music but I don't know if I could handle that lifestyle."

The first episode of Paris Hilton's British Best Friend, which airs on Thursday, will follow Hilton as she flies to Paris to meet possible contestants.

Hilton said the eventual winner would discover that “there's a lot of advantages to being my best friend”.

Meanwhile, the socialite failed to win herself many friends among the British press yesterday, telling journalists that she thought the British Prime Minister was TV chef Gordon Ramsey, not the Labour politician Gordon Brown.
