Organisers behind the WOMAD festival are to stage a new edition of the event in Abu Dhabi this spring.
The three-day open-air festival will be take place at several locations across the Capital of the United Arab Emirates.
WOMAD Abu Dhabi is being held in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
Despite being one of the world's most multicultural cities, Abu Dhabi still maintains its long-standing Arabic cultures and traditions.
WOMAD Director Chris Smith said the partnership would help “bring in the very best music and artists from around the world”.
Abdulla Salim Al Amri, director of ADACH, added: “We strive to create one-of-a-kind experiences brought about by the interaction of artists and their public.”
The full line up for the festival, which will take place in April, is expected to be announced soon.
