Keane frontman Tom Chaplin has said the band are desperate to play one of the big slots at this year's Glastonbury festival.
The singer said he felt the group had become “more of a festival band” thanks to a number of high profile performances around the world.
“There are certain slots at festivals that are great to play – like the sun going down,” Chaplin told the Daily Star.
“We always wanted to play in front of 50,000 people spellbound, and we felt that we managed to create that magic last year when we were playing festivals around the world.”
Speaking about Glastonbury, he added: “Glastonbury is such a great thing to take part in and there is so much to do that I really hope we play it this year.  It’s been a long time since we did.”
The line up for this year's Glastonbury festival – including the illusive headline slots – is expected to be announced soon.
The festival will run from June 26th-28th. Tickets for the event are on sale now. For more information check out the Gigwise Gig Guide.
