Roots Manuva has confirmed that he has approached James Blunt about recording material together.
The musician, who releases his new 'Slime And Reason' on Monday (September 1st), made contact with Blunt via one of the pop stars bandmates.
“I’m a personal friend of his [Blunt's] guitarist and he put the message in, and he’s up for it,” he told BBC 6Music.
At present, Roots Manuva said he wasn't sure what musical direction the pair would take, saying: “We’ll just get in the studio, have a few wines, eat some cake and go for it.”
He added that he hoped the collaboration would come together as soon as possible.
