Seasick Steve thrilled a chilled Pyramid Stage audience with a set filled with his unique eccentricity earlier today.
The bluesman aired numerous tracks from his new album, expected in September, but also found time to play crowd favourites ‘Cut My Wings’ and ‘Doghouse Blues’.
At one point he was asked for a girl to join him onstage, and proceeded to serenade her, to the joy of the afternoon crowd.
His trademark tales of how he got his three-string guitar punctuated the set, while a huge sing-along of ‘That’s the way the thing goes down’ got lethargic festival-goers in the mood.
Seasick Steve also played a headline acoustic stage performance last night. Blues has been a prominent feature of this year’s festival, with Buddy Guy set to top the Jazz Stage bill later this evening.
