Fratellis: 'Kings Of Leon Shouldn't Be Headlining Glastonbury'
The Fratellis bassist Barry Fratelli has criticised the Glastonbury Festival for booking Kings of Leon to headline this years Pyramid Stage.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Fratelli said that although he was a fan of the band, he doesn’t “think they should be headlining”.
“Not to say I think we should be headlining, but I don’t think the headline acts this year are too good to be honest,” he added.
This year’s festival, which runs from June 27th-29th, will also feature headline performances from The Verve and Jay-Z.
The Fratellis will play just before Kings of Leon at this years event and the bassist said they were hoping for a better showing the last year.
“We built it up as this big thing and it was shite,” he said. “The only thing that saved our weekend was that I got to see The Who from the side of the stage.”

The question that should be asked is why the F*ck his shit band have played 3rd (last year) and second on the Pyramid. Bands would kill to have that slot, kick them off the lineup is what I say. Kings of Leon will be amazing as headliners (Reading last year...wow!), and this is coming from someone who’s not even going to glasto this year!!

He should improve his own band before making comments on the Kings. Give KOL a few years and they will be considered one of the best bands of our time.

Fratellis: one hit wonders (thanks to the ipod).
Kings of Leon: classy musicians who actually know how to play their instruments.
I think Barry is jealous because the Followill family are better than the Fratelli family, in every way.

I FUCKING LOVE KINGS OF LEON. They are the best band in the world! I am going to Glastonbury and cannot wait to see them, and what made me want glasto more then reading, is the fact that the kings were headlining.
Soo.. sorry to Barry, but the kings are the best headliners out of the 3, and i would prefer them to headline then the fratellis.
