Lenny Kravitz was admitted to hospital yesterday (January 11) after being diagnosed with acute bronchitis, it has been confirmed.
The ‘Fly Away’ singer got the flu in mid-January and has since suffered a series string of respiratory infections which eventually led to bronchitis.
His spokeswoman confirmed that he was taken into the Miami Hospital and was suffering from “extreme dehydration and fatigue.”
She said: “Doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment."
It is not yet clear how long the 43-year-old will remain in hospital care, however, Kravitz has postponed all of his impending European tour dates which he was due to undertake to promote his new album ‘It Is Time For A Love Revolution.’
