Manic Street Preachers bass player Nicky Wire has described 2007 as “one of the great Manic years.”
Reflecting on their year, which has seen them release their eighth studio album ‘Send Away The Tigers’ and receive critical acclaim for their live performances, Wire said he’s worried about ruining the year before their UK tour ends later this week.
"I'm just scared every time I go on stage at the moment because it’s been such a special year. I'm scared every time I open my mouth, every time we do a gig, that I don't want to ruin the year,” Wire told the BBC.
"Because it has been really brilliant. It genuinely has been one of the great Manic years. Fingers crossed we're nearly there and there hasn't been any disasters.
The band have three more dates on their current tour, including a second night at the Brixton Academy in London tonight (December 12th).
