Chicken Feed – ‘Best Of Me’

Chicken Feed is one man: Michael Boddy. ‘The Best Of Me’ is the follow up single to his self-released album ‘Finding Jim’. It’s a sparse track built around a simple guitar piece with backing vocals adding smoky atmospherics to the song - they compliment Mr Boddy’s own vocals perfectly. It’s a nice track, soothing and cocooned in layers of soft, delicate sounds. But it’s basically background music or the musical equivalent of the colour beige. It’s completely inoffensive. And, well, just nice enough.
