Featuring vocals from Dry Cleaning’s Florence Shaw, the addition of post-punk, poetic spoken word elements feels so wrong it's right next to Sleaford’s classic gobby lyrics. As they move in a slightly more personal wave, merging considerations of depression and mental health with the continued conversation about UK politics; ‘Force 10 From Navarone’ is a perfect example for the openness and nuance to be revealed on the record.
Talking about the track Jason Williamson said; “The track is a conversation with myself coming to terms with happiness and whether it is in fact a darker space than my negativity and depression. Coupled with that it explores the myth of activism and inaction of the majority in the UK in the presence of a corrupt government.”
