More about:

Sir Paul McCartney has released two brand new songs 'Home Tonight' and 'In A Hurry'. The AA side will be available as a 7-inch picture disc for US Record Store Day Black Friday next week (29 November). The new sounds come the same week as the national treasure confirms he's headlining Glastonbury 2020

'Home Tonight' is a high jinks, ankle-clonking tune with some big, mid-era Beatles wind instrument energy. It's an up and down jaunt through themes of new love and pure happiness with a neat bridge that slows things down for one sultry minute.

'In A Hurry' lets the bass do the talking, throwing it back to earlier McCartney with its distinctly retro vocal melody. Then the distinctly modern drumbeat comes in though, and the tune transforms into undeniable, contemporary Macca. Hear them both:

McCartney recorded both tunes during the album session for Egypt Station with producer Greg Kurstin. The never-before-heard songs are available to stream now and purchase on vinyl on 29 November as a AA side vinyl release. The physical release is a picture disc featuring new and exclusive artwork.

Paul McCartney will play the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on 27 June 2020.
