Beach goths The Growlers have released a bouncy new single in the form of ‘Pulp of Youth’ to support the announcement that their sixth studio album Natural Affair will land on October 25.

Irresistibly So-Cal even as it bleeds garage rock, ‘Pulp of Youth’ adds plinky keys to the occasion for a cocktail of influences that let the band “drink to the pulp of youth” across decades and influences. Hear it:

Swooning bass and blushing vocals give a fifties rock ’n’ roll soft edge to sixties surf guitar and eighties keys for a luxurious tune that’s all over the map. The song is the latest single to set the foundation for Natural Affair, which The Growlers will release on their own label Beach Goth next month. 

The West Coast band will play Roundhouse in February in the midst of a UK and EU tour of some impressive venues. The Growlers are currently on tour in the USA. 

Natural Affairs will be released 25 October via Beach Goth Records and they will play the following live dates:
