More about:

East London’s alternative festival VISIONS has today announced its stage splits and timings as well as - crucially - details of its dog show. And with Gigwise, you can win a pair of tickets to be there on Saturday 3 August.

And why would you want to miss this festival? The popular VISIONS Dog Show, which will start at noon at The Paddock behind St. John at Hackney, will be compered by the band Happyness and judged by members of Shame, HMLTD and Our Girl. The theme, since you’re asking, is ‘Pup Fiction’ (All Things Tarantino.)

To the music then, and this year’s line-up is a wonderful amalgamation of alternative brilliance, from techno punks Scalping to the “part oompa loompa, part early Beatles, and 100% radioactive” Wooze. You can see the full line-up and stage times here:

Headline slots will be taken by White Denim and Scouse mad heads Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, who will round off the day on their respective stages Oval Space and Hangar. The rest of the festival will take place across venues LFB The Arches, Pickle Factory, Sebright Arms and Goose Island Hop Garden.

If you’re feeling especially spicy, you can even start your day with Do.omyoga, which is, hand on heart, a yoga class set to the dulcet tones of meditative doom/drone/avant-garde music.

If dog shows, doom yoga and dope alt acts are your thing, then you can always enter our Twitter competition to win a pair of tickets. All you have to do is follow and RT.

VISIONS takes place across various venues in London Fields and Hackney on Saturday 3 August.
