ONBlackheath is back for 2019. The midsummer family-friendly festival returns with its first set of lineup announcements.
The event, taking place in South East London on 13-14 July, will play host to a UK exclusive performance from Jamiroquai - they’re set to get the crowd moving with their irresistible blend of 70s soul, funk and classic house rhythms.
What’s more, the legendary Grace Jones will take to the stage - a creative in every sense of the word, she is an icon within popular culture; her 1980’s critical and commercial hit albums ‘Warm Leatherette’, ‘Living My Life’, and ‘Nightclubbing’ altered the face of modern pop and paved the way for artists like Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
Also added to the lineup are: prolific hip-hop group The Roots, hit machine Rag’n’Bone Man, the legendary reggae band UB40 (Feat.Ali and Astro), Soul II Soul (‘Back To Life’ is set to be a massive highlight of the weekend) and Brand New Heavies, the pioneers of the London acid jazz scene, will get everyone moving with their funk-laden anthems.
ONBlackheath has been a staple in London’s festival scene since 2014, previously hosting the likes of Madness, Massive Attack and Primal Scream. Street Feast, who run London’s greatest day and night street food markets, will offer a dazzling array of food and drink at this year’s festival - foodies, rejoice!
Tickets for ONBlackheath 2019 go on sale this Friday 12 April.
