Even more music; even more comedy

Y Not is back in full force for it’s 14th year. The Northern festival has just announced a new wave of acts, including indie-rock Yorkshire locals Reverend and the Makers, Grime icon Wretch 32, the wacky and visceral Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, and the Streets frontman and all-round legend Mike Skinner (DJ Set).

They join the already announced headliners Elbow, Two Door Cinema Club, Wolf Alice and Foals plus many more, including You Me At Six (we chatted to the UK pop-punk purveyors over a few pints - listen to our Pintcast here). See the full, updated lineup below:

Taking place in the idyllic Peak District from 25th-28th July, the lineup spans alternative, rock and indie with smatterings of dance. Not only have they have announced new names to grace the main stage, they’ve also named a list of comedians set to perform at Flamingo Jacks, the festival’s very own Comedy stage. New acts include: Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ Phill Jupitus, BGT’s Lost Voice Guy, Simon Evans, Shappi Khorsandi, and Mo Omar.

Also added to the music lineup are Redlight, Boston Manor, Beans on Toast, Pulled Apart By Horses, Pretty Vicious, Patawawa and Lion. They will be joining previously announced acts Franz Ferdinand, Happy Mondays, IDLES, White Lies, Gerry Cinnamon, and Miles Kane, and many more.

It’s crazy to think that Y Not began life as a house party in deepest Derbyshire. It has since scooped the UK’s Best Medium Festival award, and hosted a plethora of indie legends, including last year’s lineup of The Libertines, Kaiser Chiefs, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Manic Street Preachers and many more. This year looks like it will be another epic year for lovers of indie bangers.
