Electric Castle, the immersive, multi-genre festival in Romania taking place from the 17-21 July, have just announced their second wave of artists. Limp Bizkit will join previously announced headliners Florence + The Machine, Bring Me The Horizon and The Vaccines.
Three-time Grammy nominated Limp Bizkit will no doubt bring their raucous, rap-rock energy to the grounds of the dramatic Banffy Castle - Fred Durst’s heavy vocals are set to fill the grounds with excitement and vigour. Scottish synth-pop favourites Chvrches will bring their bittersweet, hook-driven tunes to the stage, while veteran DJ and producer Nightmares On Wax will bring an eclectic blend of house, electro, soul and techno. King of the UK Grime scene Giggs will take on the festival, alongside drum and bass duo Sigma.
Genre-wise, Electric Castle is surely one of the most diverse lineups of the list of this summer’s European festivals. The unique architectural concept of using a medieval castle as a backdrop for a hedonistic festival is just as eclectic as the lineup itself, which aims to build bridges between mainstream and subculture, and bring a wealth of genres together harmoniously on one bill, making Electric Castle a truly unique experience.
