'Oxford Comma' hitmakers Vampire Weekend have announced a seven-date European tour which includes four UK gigs.
The band, who were the highlight at End Of The Road festival last year, kick off the UK leg at Usher Hall in Edinburgh on 7 November, then take a geographically sensible road down through Manchester (8), Birmingham (9) and London (13). A 10,000 capacity Alexandra Palace show in London is the biggest of the lot.
Tickets to see these legends of 21st-century indie this November go on general sale at 10am on Friday 22 March. But fans who pre-order the forthcoming album - titled Father Of The Bride - before 3pm on 19 March can get on the pre-sale at 10am on Wednesday 20 March (all GMT).
The tour announcement comes at a particularly busy promotional time for the band. To tease their 18-track album, they released the video for 'Sunflower' yesterday. Starring Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig and Steve Lacy (who features on the song) with surprise cameos from Jerry Seinfeld and Fab 5 Freddy, it is racking up hundreds of thousands of views.
The forthcoming album is their first in six years and they marked they introduced its existence formally with the release of two awesome tracks last month. It could well top the charts both sides of the pond come the 10th of May. It is released on Columbia Records on the 3rd.
The European tour dates are as such:

08 - Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse
11 - Birmingham, O2 Academy
