BRITs Critics' Choice short-lister Lewis Capaldi has today been announced as the special guest for charity spectacular Stand Up To Cancer on 31 January.
Taking place at the breathtaking Union Chapel, the singer-songwriter will bring enormous hits (‘Bruises’), beautiful ballads (‘Grace’) and new offerings (‘Breach’) as well as his unfaltering, self-deprecating humour to the benefit.
The evening brings together some of the UK’s most impressive performers of the moment: as the final addition to the line-up, Capaldi joins Ed Harcourt, wonderful Scouse band She Drew The Gun, and Editors frontman Tom Smith for the one-night charity bash.
In aid of Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up To Cancer initiative, the evening will raise money for essential medical research, which aims to see 3 in 4 people survive their cancer by the year 2034: the survival rate has already increased from 1, to 2 in 4 survivors since the 1970s.
